What does a buyer specialist do for clients? Here’s a quick list.
In my career, I’ve learned that certain people are designed for certain roles. Think about your doctor’s office, for instance. When you’re checking in, the doctor and nurses aren’t the ones to do it. They’ve hired skilled administrative assistants to take over that aspect of the job. Then you’ll have someone (a nurse, nurse’s assistant, or P.A.) check your vitals and assess what’s going on with you that day. Following that, you’ll meet with the doctor, who is ideally an expert in what you’re there for.
In the real estate world, we’ve expanded to follow a similar model. When you call in, someone will ask you a series of questions to find out what you’re trying to accomplish, and then you’ll work with someone who has expertise in that area. If you’re looking to buy a home, you’ll work with a buyer specialist. Here are four things that a buyer specialist will be especially helpful with:
1. Financing. A buyer specialist understands what financing options are available in the market, what the price points are for those options, and more importantly, the lenders in our market who are reputable.
2. Property matching. They’ll be able to match you with available properties. They keep track of inventory and how much homes are selling for right now.
A buyer specialist helps you from the beginning to the end of your transaction.
3. Helping you through the home inspection process. The buyer’s agent will be able to explain the process and help you understand what’s going on, even as they negotiate on your behalf.
4. Socializing. Buyer’s agents are often very social people who enjoy the home-showing process. Many of our clients become friends with their buyer’s agent after the transaction because they had such a good time.
If you’re looking for more information about the home-buying process or have any questions about real estate in general, give us a call or send an email. We’d love to help you.
